In the 70s, the …
In the 70s, the Porsche 911 was winning everything in racing. So BMW came up with a racing car to try and beat them – the M1. It was the first, and so far only, ever mid engined BMW.
Lamborghini were helping them, but halfway through they went bust. So BMW had to start again with some other people. And while it was being designed, the rules for racing were changed, so by the time it came out, it wasn’t competitive.
The M1 was a complete flop. I think it will be a Future Classic.

Agree with you on the Honda S2000, but I don’t think the Hummer will become a classic – that’s rare because it’s rubbish.
I think the Honda NSX and the BMW M1 will become classics – they’re rare, good looking and have an interesting story.
