How can I shrink my canvas Vans shoes?

I bought my white Vans about a month ago and don’t wear them anymore because I bought them 1 size to big thinking I could "grow into them" but I won’t.

What can I do to purposely shrink them?

Nothing. Shrinking shoes will lead to warping, because the different types of materials of which they are made will shrink at different rats. If you are willing to experiment, wrap them in a towel, stuff the bundle into a billow case and tie it shut. Then toss them into the dryer on high heat. Check every 15 minutes or so to see if they have shrunk enough. If you don’t see results after 45 minutes, it won’t work. Also, keep an eye on the dryer, you can melt the rubber in the shoes, and in rare cases, you can set the whole thing on fire. You are way better off just buying a new pair of shoes.
